Apple finally released a wireless keyboard with a number pad! As with any Apple products; I review it.

The real question is, how fast can it type?
hi im looking for a wired keyboard with usb ports to use on a windows pc any recomendations
So u can use it as wired keyboard if u wanted too ?
Is this still a good option as of Nov 2019 ?
Where is the function key?
Great video!
Question, I just got this one and have an 2009 iMac, it’s 12.10.5 or whatever, latest version but it’s not turning on, just plugged it in, do I have to charge it or is it just incompatible! Tf?
It looks better than the previous version, but I can't get used to the decreased key spacing. I constantly have to watch where my fingers are, so I connected my old one again.
Only works with Sierra and newest operating systems. Will not work with El Capitan; or earlier.
is still good?
Good Video…thank you
damm magic keyboard sounds so gay
Can’t figure out how to turn my number pad on. I worked out and shut it off somehow
wow, I thought I was the only one that typed like that! I type the exact same way, and also enjoy membrane keyboards with very shallow key travel.
I kind of separate the keyboard into two different regions. But there is overlap. Depending on my typing flow I may sometimes type y with my right hand, or I may type it with my left hand. I'm very fast and accurate though.
Always cheated through typing class by just typing in the most natural way for me. What works, works. Proper my left foot.
No USB ports unfortunately.
What I would love to know is how this compares to the Microsoft Surface keyboard – just so I know… I mean they look almost identical but is the key travel or feel different, which do you prefer?
Thanks for you video! You forgot to mention that this keyboard requires macOS 10.12.4 or later. The function keys like player controls or brightness won't work on El Capitan (10.11.x)
98% отбитых. друже, ты как маленький.
triple the price of the wired keyboard and doesn't have usb inputs?? Why did Apple have to discontinue the wired keyboard??? :@
I use the wired predecessor of this keyboard and find it the best one i have used so far. Second comes the Logitech Ultraflat X.
I hate these sugarcube style gaming keyboards. They are way too bricky for typing or gaming on them.
I know a lot of gamers who switched from gaming keyboards to the wired apple keyboards.
Thank you for the video.
Very similar to the Logitech K811. Logitech doesn't have the numeric keypad, but Logitech keys are backlit. Pairing for 3 devices instead of 4, but honestly, a Laptop, Tablet, and phone are enough for me. You didn't give a price on Matias. Logitech is $95.
One of the worst ergonomics ever made. But sure it looks awesome
I've been enjoying your reviews….I am somewhat new to apple products. Have an iPad Air 2 on its way. Glad to see your thoughts on this keyboard. My only gripe is…Why wont apple offer an alternative with black keys? Not all of us like white keys….and I think its a mistake to not allow the consumers to have options. After the iPad, my next purchase will be a mac mini….dont know if you have done a review yet. I am sure there may be better options….but for me, the mini will suite me. What are thoughts on refurbished apple products. Thank you
1:34 Why do you speak of syncing with a keyboard?
3:25 Your keys…at…the top…?
A keyboard with keys. It's magical, thanks Apple.
No backlighting because it only costs 130 $.
A flat design to destroy wrists.
A scissor mechanism because you've been promising for the last few years that Apple knows best and the state of the art is butterfly mechanism.
Batteries that last only a month vs the competition year+ autonomy, and no led to show how long before next charging.
A very very low contrast because why not.
And last but not least, a super shallow keystroke.
Thank you for the review. They took a lot of years to release something so simple. At this point I would have expected already an external keyboard with touch-bar too, but I guess they weren't very convinced themselves….or they will release it in 5 years :/
What makes it "Magic"?
And no background light? It fees like almost nothing has happened. I have 2 USB-ports on my keyboard now, they are gone if I buy this. It costs 1 600 SEK if I should buy it today.
Why… did it take so long!
How often do you move your keyboard? The only reason for the wireless one is the lack of ports on the macbook. I think that apple is stopping to sell the wired one is very big issue with this price tag. I also need the two usb ports on the old keyboard.
i think it looks beautiful. the full size keys on top, and finally numericpad for wireless option. i am going to use it as a wired keyb. tho. i like mechanical too but there is 1 problem with mecha. keyb. they get dirt quickly. the thin keyb is so easy to clean.
When are they going to make a magic keyboard with back lighting?
I like the numerals on the side of the key board
I noticed this keyboard has the symbols for command-option-control, the previous magic 2 didn't. I ilke it better than the other one.
The killer feature for me in those keyboards is battery and longevity, last very long time, supposing you spent all the battery cycles, you can use it as a wired keyboard without wireless forever.
I have a Mac with the small magic keyboard, and numeric pad is important to me, however, I think this new keyboard is a little too much high priced.
is it true that this new keyboard does not support TouchID for easy connection?
I type like that too
I wish so badly that the “129” that it costs is “$1.29”
Every tech youtuber today: "Oneplus 5! Yay!"
Zollotech: "screw this I'm talking about an apple keyboard"
I‘d love to have a proper butterfly keyboard. A Touchbar would be nice to have as well as I always use my MBP in clamshell mode.
I've had the Logitech K750 keyboard for a couple years and overall I like it. Latency can sometimes be an issue whereas the standard wireless keyboard that came with my iMac doesn't seem to suffer latency as much. I suspect the latency on the Logitech is due to the 2.4Ghz transceiver and the mac keyboard uses BT. I'd like to try this new magic keyboard but the price is a bit too steep. At this price you're in the arena of many quality mechanical/backlit keyboards.
Quite good video, awesome!
