My Microsoft Band 2 was accurate all the time. Why isn’t the Apple Watch in 2020?
Apple Watch have a real altimeter if it’s via gps? How about Apple watch 5
Consumer GPS is not very accurate for elevation.
……
Since GPS satellites move constantly, you will get a different reading every time and it can be off as much as 100 feet at certain times of the day due to satellite positions.
…….
For best accuracy a GPS satellite must be directly overhead which likely will only come close 2 times a day.
……..
Oh no..retarded measurement….I need metric system…
I just bought an Apple Watch 4 but can’t figure out where to see the elevation info
Orange Peel Rocks!!! Thanks for the review!!!
What about gt active huawey?
Great video
But is the watch even using the air pressure sensor for elevation changes? If you are using the built in GPS sensor to track your route, doesn't that already provide the necessary info? I understand the usefulness of the pressure sensor in everyday tasks conserving the battery life, but I think the GPS elevation data is more accurate.
Finally Garmin (and some others like Polar and Suunto) get real competition. They've been selling us overpriced tech gadgets for way to long without big improvements. therefore other companies could relatively easy bring up their game to the same level. In fact, Apple's new Watch is in almost all points better than Garmins / Suuntos /Polars. Screen, size, functionality, power, sensors etc.
If they manage to get really decent battery life (10 hrs GPS, 5 days smartwatch with always on screen), I'll definitely switch to Apple.
Nice
Hi Des ! … Suuno 9 review … ? 😶
Please do review of new samsung Galaxy watch
Oh my! Still watching but I love you for this video already! Awesomeness!
Better than ever.
I won’t smash, but I did tap the like button.
Great video and super informative. Watched even though I have no plans on buying another apple watch 😉
Apple Watch continues to impress. I just know the next Wear OS watch will blow this out of the water. Right?
Always super high quality video 🙂
Thanks Des for another very informative video. If the Apple Watch had the same battery as Fenix, would you switch to aw as your daily watch?;)
