Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, issued a stark warning to global media on Monday when he said that numbers from around the world show that the COVID-19 pandemic “is accelerating.”
In a seeming response to claims made by U.S. President Donald Trump in recent days, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO, said that as of Monday there is “no proven treatment” against COVID-19, and urged against those who would spread “false hope” through the use of “untested medicines.”
As well, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Monday that his organization is partnering with the World Health Organization to launch the “Kick out the Virus” global public awareness campaign, led by world-renowned footballers, who are calling on all people around the world to follow five key steps to stop the spread of COVID-19.
