„The 2008 Mac Pro is a Little cheaper“
Mac Pro 2009 in Germany: 450€
Mac Pro 2008 in Germany 100€
So much about that
I have a 2009 Mac Pro and I use it for live streaming with wirecast I am impressed how well it can handle 3 cameras, two monitors while pushing out HD content both locally on the hard drive and out on to the Internet without glitches or cut outs. I love having the ability to upgrade it. My school was retiring them before I graduated so it was perfect timing. I think the overall age of it is over 6 years old without signs of slowing down by the time I got it. I do agree best built computer by Apple.
Hey man, do you sell any of these computers you work on at all?
Dont buy such an old computer, unless you plan on recapping in the future. All electronics have a specific number of hours before they start to fail. I recap all my classic vintage computers, just to be sure. Biggest issue, is SMD caps.
I found one for 150
Woah 500 dollars is 40gb ram 480 go ssd and 3.43 ghz processor and 6 cores
🤔🤔 2020 Razer back, Cheesegrater back..
I got one for 169
Is there anything that can be done up-grade wise with a Mac Pro 1,1? I love this thing as it does fine with my audio editing software, but I'm limited to OS 10.6.8 and, of course, newer software. Updates.
I love mine. Such a beast.
Do you believe this, 200AUD for Mac Pro 2008 32gigs of RAM!!! 6Tb storage and 120ssd!!! Crazy deal I got
I live a ways out of town in the Yukon, Canada. Last Saturday on our way home from town, my son and I stopped at the dump out our way which has the best "free store" around.
I always do the stop on Saturday on the way home. You never know what you will find…I have found Macbook Pros, iPods, Apple stuff galore…all working now or even NEW accessories in the boxes.
Well, Saturday I got out of the truck and saw it right away, sitting in the broken electronics section on the table. A “vintage” all aluminum Mac Pro, complete and in tact.
I hefted the 40 lb. tank of a computer into the truck and brought it home.
I got it home and let it warm up a few hours. Then…It turned right on.
It is a 2009 Mac Pro "Eight Core" 2.26 (Early 2009) powered by two 2.26 GHz Quad Core Xeon E5520 (Nehalem) processors…12GB RAM, a 640GB HDD, and a 250GB HDD.
It is running Snow Leopard, a clean fresh install it seems. It can take EL Capitan, but that is the newest I could go on it as it is. I have all of the cords it needed already (it came with nothing from the free store) It can run up to 128 GB of RAM! It can take 4 full hard drives. And much more. It is blazing fast already.
It runs perfectly, and works flawlessly. It is easy to open up and work on, and easy to upgrade. I have wanted one of these for many years.
I even cleaned the casing and much of the grime and marks actually came right off. I also took off some stickers. It is an 8 out of 10. Just wow. All for FREE.
The case is the best thing about it…. i5 mac mini 2012 faster than this… add on external egpu and there is no point to these old pro.s
i just got a 2009 mac pro for $100 today in mint condition and it has 16gb ram and a 1t hd lol
This Mac is totally worth it! Runs fast and runs a good looking version of Mac OS X El Capitan!
If only we knew how far this computer would take you down the cMP rabbit hole….
watching this 6/2019 … today* I just bought a "mac pro 2009" from Ebay for $338 incl. shipping. has a quad core/32gigs of ram/ 1 tb hdd/running Mojave .. I'm super excited for it to arrive, in 6-8 days!! planning on doing some upgrades later like ssd, gpu etc. really I can't wait. (now, I think I'm complete* 4 now) … I now own: 2017 Imac, 2017 macbook pro, 2018 macbook, 2012 macbook air, 2011 macbook pro, 2x: 2014 mac mini's, 2014 ipad air & now, this mac pro 2009 !!! wow, i know right. LOL. I've gone bananas over apple computers, but in my defense I have used windows pc's since 4ever, dell's, hp's, laptops & desktops and I have found apple computers to be more reliable then my pc's I have. don't get me wrong pc's R ok, but mac's R just a better experience for me thus far! very pleased, also gr8 video Luke, a yr later. 👍👍
this is a load of barnacles
and if you decide to spend an extra $100 making it $350, you can get the dual processor model (if you're lucky)
Just bought it for $461.61 on ebay. (dual cpu)
The 2009 Mac Pro is the best classic Mac Pro you can buy
2019: Apple sells a Mac Pro stand for $1000
where did you buy it o.o ?
keep the gpu for bios shit
hello luke is a older mac pro good voor gaming?
OK, I had to watch this one since I picked up a Mac Pro 3,1 for $180 last year. What really puzzles me is that my 2010 White Macbook 2.4ghz Core2Duo can run High Sierra but the 2008 8-core 2.8ghz Xeon based Mac Pro is stuck at El Capitan. Does Apple even have any criteria they use for determining which models to discontinue OS support for or do they just pick models at random to exclude from support? There is no logical reason why my Mac Pro shouldn't have been supported in Sierra/High Sierra when my white Macbook is supported.
Clearly shot on a Lumix camera, judging by the horrid autofocus
Is your mac pro loud I just bought a 09 version and the fans spin constantly is this normal?
