NOTE: The pressure at Europa’s sea floor will be much lower than said in the video due to gravity. More like 2500-1200 bars which is still worse than on Mariana …

NASA is still awaiting for the funding to fully explore Europa,
This decade hopefully
Who else read the title as "Sending a submarine into Europe's ocean?" I thought haven't we already done that?
Yeah I'm sure the life there can't wait for us to go there and pollute the water and everything else because submarines of whatever they send will Rust or microbes from Earth there so yeah I'm sure they can't wait for us to contaminate it
We would need to get materials from Mars first because then we might be able to use them to make a submarine way more advanced than the ones we already have. It's just such a crazy idea
we would also have to be careful, because we don't know what kind of life could be there. it could be extremely dangerous and predatory.
can we cut into ice here deep and a 1/2 by 1/2 mile area and chill it off and vacuum chamber it to match europa conditions? prob jus be cheaper to send the probe
Its 2020 now the probe hopefully arived if this was happened anyway.
About the pressure
What if we make a submarine thats made of Graphene
I get the feeling that as soon as the drill got too close to breaking through the ice layer the internal pressure that causes the vents will trigger a guyser and destroy the drill
our home planet, Eart
Military submarines can function on nuclear fuel. Why not this one? Why does it have to use solar?
The music really annoying and unnecessary…🖓🖓🖓
Interestingly challenging, hope the scientific community can find a clever solution to the problem!!
Intelligent beings: have you thoroughly explored your oceans?
Humans: no but we're planning a trip to Jupiter's moon Europa and submarine it's oceans………..here's the video
You got to know that Europa has less gravity so, can go deeper than you could on earth.
3 times the amount of water to Earths? That's RUBBISH!!!! Europa is tiny!!!! Similar size to our moon. So its not even close to the amount of water that is on Earth. You go by the depth but I'm still not convinced it's 3 times bigger or just bigger.
Do I hear slight Russian accent, or am I confused?
Simple: nuke it to open the ice crust.
Ummm don’t you need a atmosphere to have liquid water?
dang, that planet is pretty "furder" than other ones….
Surface area of Africa and it has water
Does the pressure do not depend on G?

Probably there will be some life there. But i think it would not be the life we know about in the sea, Like crabs fish etc etc.
No necesitamos cavar hay ventosas para llegar al océano .
If it's anything like barotrumma fuck that
Thought this was a Subnautica video
~1500 bar pressure at the bottom of a 10000m ocean on Europa, not 10000 bar. Much less gravity on Europa.
