Hi Carl, when using iCloud on iOS how do you decide which photos/videos go to iCloud and which photos do not, therefore saving iCloud space?
My "iCloud is full" and I dont even know what it is, they shouldn't make you use stuff involuntarily in such a way. This is why I hate tech conpanies, they're pushy.
I set up my iCloud and can’t figure this problem out. No new photos or videos will be saved. I don’t know how to fix this. I have a meme page of 400K followers and it’s dry right now because my camera roll won’t update.
I have not yet watched this video. I would not have to watch it if I did not have iCloud. I wish I didn't. Popups kept appearing on my desktop saying I could not use iCloud (which both my wife & I have been paying for for months, years maybe?) because of s "problem with mu Gmail account". When I finally decided that since I have been paying for the damn thing I should probably be able to use it, I clicked more info. It assured me that all my desktop files, which had been very carefully organized so that I could easily find anything I wanted, would be available from an iCloud file which would appear on my desktop. No and no. My whole desktop disappeared – nothing left but the symbol for the HD. I just about had a stroke then and there. I found out from youtube that you have to use the finder to find what happened to your formerly easily accessible, organized, easy to find files – which are now all in hunt and peck – through the only categories Apple chooses to give you, rather than the ones you carefully chose to organize your files. Bah! Humbug!
Subscribed! Excellent tuition! Please keep it simple abc for the likes of me! Thank you.
When I go to iCloud.com all I see is “find my phone”. I suppose I will find out why if I take your advanced course?
I didn’t understand anything…..
A good intro but why don’t you rehearse your presentation before recording and uploading? You left in all your mistakes and mis-keying which reduces the helpfulness.
Good intro. I'm new to apple after years with MS. Struggling with the cloud at the moment, managed to fill up my @TB with photos and videos, so looking at how to select and de select folders. Have de selected docs and desktop for now. Look forward to your next one, hopefully delving a bit deeper. Cheers Richard
Carl, how did you hide all of the other misc folders in iCloud Dive: ie: iMovie, Automator, shortcuts, etc.?
um…seriously?
Hi Carl, great work!! Can i ask, do you not have documents & Desktop turn on for iCloud Drive in preferences as you don't have the folders in your iCloud Drive folder?
I don't have a MAC. I am working on a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10. My options on icloud drive are not as comprehensive as yours. It would be helpful to see a video using this platform. Thanks.
Is it just me or is REMINDERS not allowing us to share lists with other users?
I loved your idea with regards to organizing your reminders. With this in mind, how do you organize your email folders , iCloud folders , and photo albums?
A quick correction 1. All data that is stored in iCloud is not available at iCloud.com, 2. Tags are not part of iCloud features. That’s built into macOS already and it’s data can be synced to iCloud.
Great introduction. Thanks!
I love tags. I wish Apple would buy Bear to replace the Notes file folder structure and implement folder structure according to hashtags.
Yes Carl!
